Ölüdeniz

Ölüdeniz, translating to ‘dead sea’ for its infamously calm and luminous turquoise waters, is a world-renowned resort for its incredibly beautiful white beach and its other given name, the ‘blue lagoon’. Featuring on many a holiday brochure, this top-photographed location is well worth a visit.

As one of the larger resorts, in the village behind the white shores of the main Belecekiz beach, you will find there are several accommodation options from small budget boutiques to large all inclusive hotels. Here you can also take the opportunity to shop until you drop or take your pick from a number of eateries offering both International and local cuisine.

The beach itself is a splendidly pristine stretch of white sand, lined by a bustling promenade, perfect for a beach bar cocktail or an evenings stroll and ending at the Western side of the beach in the spectacular blue lagoon bay, from where the resort heralds its name. As if it could get any better, to add to the natural beauty, the magnificent Babadağ mountain, reaching 1920 metres in height, serves as a rich, green, pine-covered backdrop to the village. To really appreciate the Mediterranean colours on show here, why not take the leap paragliding at one of the centres here, known to give an unforgettable experience viewing this unique corner of the coastline from a birds eye view.

With highly recommended water, diving and adventure activities in abundance and lying just twenty minutes from the lively neighbouring town of Fethiye and ten minutes to the hilltop nightlife spot of Hisaranou, we are sure that Ölüdeniz has something for everyone.
